Bandwagon Diner

Toms River, NJ

The owners never log in to anything. They point at what should change, and it's live the same morning. The whole menu reads on a phone, and job applications land in the diner's inbox.

Bandwagon Diner's new website on a phone: the diner at night, whether it's open right now, and Order for Pickup and See the Menu buttons

Bandwagon Diner is on Route 37 in Toms River, open from 7 AM every day. The owners weren’t happy with their old website and wanted a new one.

Where they started

The old site was a WordPress template. Its menu was an ordering widget squeezed into the page, and the testimonials on the home page were template filler written for an Italian restaurant. The burger photos were stock. We built the new site from the diner’s real menu, hours and reviews, and launched it on September 26, 2026.

They point, we change it

Nobody at the diner has to learn a website editor or remember a password. When something on the site is wrong, they send a screenshot with the part circled, and we fix it. The morning after launch brought four: breakfast all day, no bar, the real desserts, and a job form. All four were live before lunch.

What they asked for, and what we did

  • Breakfast is served all day, not until 2 PM.

Changed everywhere the same morning: the hours, the home page, the menu note and the red seal. Eight minutes after the message.

  • There's no bar.

Every mention came out. The site talks about the counter, where people have coffee and breakfast.

  • The desserts are chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake and carrot cake.

The About page lists exactly those three.

  • They wanted a way for people to apply for a job.

A job form: which job, hours, days and shifts, start date and experience, emailed straight to the diner.

What's different now

  • The full menu, 407 items taken from the diner's own ordering system, is a normal page that reads on a phone and prints on ten pages.
  • Contact messages and job applications go to the diner's email, with bots filtered out.
  • The site says whether the diner is open right now, and ordering for pickup is one tap from the top.
  • A 4.5-star rating from 1,712 Google reviews shows on the site, with real reviews quoted. Google Maps listing, September 26, 2026

Under the hood (for the technical folks)
  • Next.js, exported as static files.
  • The domain's DNS moved, the registration stayed where it was, and the diner's email kept working throughout.
  • We build our own systems that keep spam off our clients' sites.
